Reference for Jonzun Lee

From late 1984, my wife and I owned and lived at a property in Spring Hill at 97 Bradley Street. In late 2007 we decided to look to sell the property in late 2008. As this was likely to be the most important financial transaction of our lifetimes, we decided we must have a rigorous process to ensure we had the best possible sales person and best possible sales campaign to maximise the chances of achieving a maximum financial result. In June 2008, we prepared a Request For Proposal and sent it to five well known Real Estate Agencies, including Jonzun Lee at RE/MAX. We were well aware of Jonzun, having received regular newsletters from him for a number of years, and also for his reputation for success in the Spring Hill market.

We had meetings with each of the Agencies representatives, followed up by receiving written Proposals from the five Agencies. At our first meeting with Jonzun we were very impressed with his enthusiasm, professionalism, knowledge of the Spring Hill market and positive attitude towards achieving a successful sale of the property. Nevertheless, we went through the selection process rigorously, evaluating each response, assessing the perceived competency of the representatives including how comfortable we were with them (a very important factor we believe), followed up by short-listing down to two and follow-up interviews, and final selection. The clear winner was Jonzun. The indicative price range he recommended was the same as three of the other Agencies, however as mentioned above we felt that his professionalism, enthusiasm and positive outlook made him “stand out from the crowd”, and very importantly, we had a high degree of comfort and trust in him.

Now the really fantastic outcome occurred. In mid-September we were still in the final tidying up, touching up, de-cluttering phase, prior to launching into a formal marketing campaign. Jonzun rang to let us know he had a prospective buyer and would like to bring them around to see the property. Once we got over the initial panic (“the place isn’t ready” etc) mainly by being calmed by Jonzun’s soothing, supportive attitude, we were into the sales process. The outcome – we achieved a price very close to the maximum we had in mind, and we incurred none of the hassles involved in neither marketing (photos, advertisement, open days etc) nor the costs. We settled in early November feeling very content.

Now, admittedly it is rare for such to occur, however it shows Jonzun’s high level of competency that he was able to persuade the prospective buyer to put aside the lack of sales-readiness of the property, and to obviously gain their confidence so much that price was not a big issue all along. So we are more than happy to recommend Jonzun highly to anyone who wants a thoroughly professional sales and marketing campaign conducted, who looks for open and honest advice, and who wants to achieve an optimal outcome.
